Remember when Google Inc initially launched Google maps and raised privacy concerns everywhere? Not to be alarmed, but these invasion of privacy class-action lawsuits against Google Inc are still present. Google vehicles have been circulated around worldwide on every face of the planet gathering images for Google Map’s street view feature. If you haven’t heard already, one of the biggest social networks got hacked yesterday. LinkedIn confirmed that hackers gained access to some of the social network’s passwords.
According to the LinkedIn director Vincente Silveira in his blog post, Affected members will receive an email with instructions on how to reset their passwords; current passwords will not work. They will also receive an email with more information on what happened. ”We can confirm that some of the passwords that were compromised correspond to LinkedIn accounts”. The company did not precisely confirm exactly how many accounts were abused, though it was reported that about 6 million out of the 161 LinkedIn users are affected. [Read More...]
Some people would say Flash is dead. Depends how you look at it. Yes, flash websites don’t run on the iPad and to make matters worse, the creators Adobe stop doing mobile development. BUT Flash is still wonderful for games, mobile and tablet applications via Flex, desktop applications via Air, and nobody can deny that Flash websites and apps are cooler and smoother than ones created in HTML5.
Apps are most certainly better than websites…as long their accessible. 1) Some mobile devices do not support apps, 2) 87% people PREFER accessing a brand through a website, and 3) ONLY 4% prefer using an app over website.
This is not an endorsement, BUT let’s cut to the chase here. 55 Million iPads have been sold, as oppose to the 3.19M of others…COMBINED!
Although dynamic programming and rich media development, such as HTML5, AJAX and Flash, can be a bit a of work, we believe that it’s well worth the investment. Websites are essentially digital offices. Creating a great consumer experience for your website, on both desktops and devices, is vital.
